Why are you acting like I don't know she's a bigot and a moron? Once again, I'm not defending her, but I think it helps to put her ignorance into context, which is what my first post was attempting at. I'm not excusing, spinning, or justifying. Where did I say it was perfectly ok to toss around the word 'faggot'? I can condemn her language and attempt to understand the thought behind it at the same time. The two aren't mutually exclusive.

i don't think the position is indefensible, i just don't find it a very interesting one when no one is, like, defending it. aside from it being a thread where people discuss gangster rap, i do wonder what about the content of the thread is seen as racist by ilxors. maybe that seems naive but rejection of gangster rap music is not a position i associate with ilx, but maybe more people feel that way than i've imagined, or maybe there's something about the way we post about it that ppl feel is racist... any of that would have been more interesting than what we got
