it is great testament to my love of them that i'm torn on whether or not to exceed my usual ticket price limit by um 1000%, but i think i'll end up coming out on the 'no' side.

hot young stalin (Merdeyeux), Monday, 4 February 2013 15:26 (thirteen years ago)

Hm, looking at it that way ... my mistake may be in using Arsenal tickets as a reference point.

Ismael Klata, Monday, 4 February 2013 15:29 (thirteen years ago)

tempted...!

licorice oratorio (baaderonixx), Monday, 4 February 2013 15:29 (thirteen years ago)

jesus. i'd love to. i'd so love to. but that's just too expensive for my budget.

SOYLENT GREEN IS SHEEPLE (stevie), Monday, 4 February 2013 16:48 (thirteen years ago)

But they may never tour again! Except they probably will. But they may lose an essential member! Except they already have. I'm going, but if I were to make a recommendation, I would say just catch Lindsey solo.

Josh in Chicago, Monday, 4 February 2013 17:00 (thirteen years ago)

How much did Lindsey solo cost? What kind of venue?

Ismael Klata, Monday, 4 February 2013 17:48 (thirteen years ago)

If Christine was involved I'd probably bite the bullet and accept my summer of eating nothing but Tesco Value beans.

hot young stalin (Merdeyeux), Monday, 4 February 2013 17:50 (thirteen years ago)

xpost I didn't pay, but I know it was much less than seeing the Mac in an arena, and he played/plays pretty small rooms.

Josh in Chicago, Monday, 4 February 2013 18:10 (thirteen years ago)

Is anybody else trying for these? I'm having no luck. Going to the secondary £200+ sites is as step too far, even for them.

The security check things are getting too difficult as well - I get the words wrong half the time.

Ismael Klata, Friday, 8 February 2013 09:46 (thirteen years ago)

I went via O2 site and got some. This was dead on 9am though.

mmmm, Friday, 8 February 2013 11:09 (thirteen years ago)

mmmmofo

Ismael Klata, Friday, 8 February 2013 11:32 (thirteen years ago)

They were amazing last time they came over here …

Manfred Mann meets Man Parrish (ithappens), Friday, 8 February 2013 13:06 (thirteen years ago)

that makes me feel much better

Ismael Klata, Friday, 8 February 2013 13:15 (thirteen years ago)

o so well i guess i'm seeing fleetwood mac in paris. (i bought it RIGHT NOW so perhaps you could too, ismael: http://www.livenation.co.uk/artist/fleetwood-mac-tickets?c=micro_site_fleetwood_080213 )

hot young stalin (Merdeyeux), Friday, 8 February 2013 13:53 (thirteen years ago)

Reissue Mirage and Ta-ahhn-GOOOOOO already!

the little prince of inane false binary hype (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Friday, 8 February 2013 13:56 (thirteen years ago)

Thanks for the tip Merdey - it was showing as *one* ticket left, but had gone by the time I got through. Downside - no fm; upside - I may remain married.

Ismael Klata, Friday, 8 February 2013 14:07 (thirteen years ago)

ah bad luck. lucky me, having no one to alienate but my bank account.

hot young stalin (Merdeyeux), Friday, 8 February 2013 14:17 (thirteen years ago)

not quite sure what my logic is whereby £140 + a £2 round trip is less affordable than £64 + whatever a round trip to Paris will cost.

hot young stalin (Merdeyeux), Friday, 8 February 2013 14:20 (thirteen years ago)

I could've had seats in the 6th row for the Cleveland show but was not willing to drop $149.50 a seat.

Gollum: "Hot, Ready and Smeagol!" (Phil D.), Friday, 8 February 2013 14:21 (thirteen years ago)

ISMAEL. THIRD LONDON DATE ANNOUNCED http://www.livenation.co.uk/artist/fleetwood-mac-tickets?c=twit_ln_fleetwoodmac_080213

hot young stalin (Merdeyeux), Friday, 8 February 2013 15:10 (thirteen years ago)

Okay wtf is this, dripping out dates over the day of sale? Presumably the gap days are going to get filled now too.

Ismael Klata, Friday, 8 February 2013 15:21 (thirteen years ago)

London prices were ridiculous, so have booked for Antwerp- 70 euro. OMG.

Jamie_ATP, Friday, 8 February 2013 15:40 (thirteen years ago)

seriously not even worth it without christine

you are my capitalism (spazzmatazz), Friday, 8 February 2013 15:52 (thirteen years ago)

Done it. Merdey, I am in your debt.

Ismael Klata, Friday, 8 February 2013 15:56 (thirteen years ago)

HOORAY. good luck with yr marriage.

hot young stalin (Merdeyeux), Friday, 8 February 2013 16:10 (thirteen years ago)

i've heard some rumours that chat with christine is still ongoing.

Jamie_ATP, Friday, 8 February 2013 16:33 (thirteen years ago)

:O really?? damn. i'll believe it when it happens tho

just sayin, Friday, 8 February 2013 16:37 (thirteen years ago)

if not they should at least bring in a ringer. maybe those chumps who replaced lindsey can do a christine impersonation between them.

hot young stalin (Merdeyeux), Friday, 8 February 2013 16:40 (thirteen years ago)

guessing sitting on the top tier at the o2 would feel nearly as frustrating and out of things as not being there at all?

So: The Answers (or something), Friday, 8 February 2013 16:49 (thirteen years ago)

hey this band just got a 10.0 on pfork

tylerw, Friday, 8 February 2013 16:52 (thirteen years ago)

why do u think we're paying big buxxx 2 c them jeez.

hot young stalin (Merdeyeux), Friday, 8 February 2013 16:53 (thirteen years ago)

the warning that the top tier of the o2 may not be suitable for those with vertigo made it sound kinda cool actually.

hot young stalin (Merdeyeux), Friday, 8 February 2013 16:54 (thirteen years ago)

lol at whiney goin in on twitter
"Websites like Pitchfork should be built to destroy Fleetwod Mac, not enforce them."

tylerw, Friday, 8 February 2013 16:56 (thirteen years ago)

just done a GIS and it does look p cool. maybe for watching sport rather than fleetwood mac for 85 quid tho?

So: The Answers (or something), Friday, 8 February 2013 17:11 (thirteen years ago)

just watched the VH1 Classic Albums on Rumors...man, felt bad for John McVie, he still seemed haunted by what happened, like some Vietnam vet with PTSD

downton arby (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Friday, 8 February 2013 17:14 (thirteen years ago)

I would say just catch Lindsey solo

and, um, stevie solo. the dave grohl sound city live shindig was totally worth sitting thru for stevie's headlining set (and a few other wonderful moments).

fact checking cuz, Friday, 8 February 2013 17:20 (thirteen years ago)

xp yeah mcvie seems like a dude with regrets on that doc. oh well, he can probably drown his sorrows on his bed made out of diamonds.

tylerw, Friday, 8 February 2013 17:20 (thirteen years ago)

he and Mick live on neighbouring Hawaiian islands, he can probably console himself somehow.

hot young stalin (Merdeyeux), Friday, 8 February 2013 17:23 (thirteen years ago)

Pumped that this rare hard to find record is finally back in print! Can't wait to hear what the hype is about, is it streaming anywhere?

chr1sb3singer, Friday, 8 February 2013 17:25 (thirteen years ago)

oh i'm sure he's fine, it was just kinda weird in that doc how sad he seemed, but i think that was the first classic albums or close to it, so the stuff was a lot more recent i guess

downton arby (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Friday, 8 February 2013 17:40 (thirteen years ago)

he was really glum in the rock family trees episode on fleetwood mac, too. still really angry about the guy they had to kick out because he was fucking mick's wife. still really bummed that bob welch left when he did. still really miffed about lindsey leaving after tango.

SOYLENT GREEN IS SHEEPLE (stevie), Friday, 8 February 2013 18:17 (thirteen years ago)

still destroyed that Christine left him.

the little prince of inane false binary hype (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Friday, 8 February 2013 18:19 (thirteen years ago)

I loved Nick's explanation: "Chris and John aren't together because John drinks."

the little prince of inane false binary hype (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Friday, 8 February 2013 18:19 (thirteen years ago)

liked jessica hopper's review of this on pitchfork but this was OUT OF LINE:

Two years prior to recording Rumours, though, Fleetwood Mac was approximately nowhere. In order to re-establish the group's flagging stateside reputation, in early 1974 Fleetwood Mac's drummer and band patriarch, Mick Fleetwood, keyboardist/singer Christine McVie, and her husband, bassist John McVie, moved from England to Los Angeles. The quartet was then helmed by their fifth and least-dazzling guitarist, the American Bob Welch.

not cool

downton arby (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Friday, 8 February 2013 18:44 (thirteen years ago)

give it a couple years, pfork will be giving future games a 10.0 too.

tylerw, Friday, 8 February 2013 18:46 (thirteen years ago)

future games is so tight, as is bare trees

"homeward bound" is my fav christine mcvie jam

downton arby (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Friday, 8 February 2013 18:48 (thirteen years ago)

not to derail but if you guys haven't heard this one, damnnn

tylerw, Friday, 8 February 2013 18:50 (thirteen years ago)

no, but that cover is fucking awesome even if the font reminds me of ten years after for some reason

downton arby (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Friday, 8 February 2013 18:51 (thirteen years ago)

it's great, super-psyched out hendrix-y/fusion instrumental jams.

tylerw, Friday, 8 February 2013 18:54 (thirteen years ago)

If that ever gets a boxset reissue they should use modern photoshop techniques to remove that slice of bright sky above the leopard's neck
