armor on really rewards more and more with every listen

i like the production on visions a lot but i get why a typical ilxor would have problems with it. not sure ideas are really something i get a whole out of in music, but there definitely weren't any albums i heard this year with more dope hooks

I keep trying to get into this Dawn Richard record. Like, I think I get why you guys like it, but it isn't clicking for me. I don't find myself wanting to listen to it at all.

I'm watching Grimes' interview with Nardwuar on youtube and her lisp is adorable. Still think Visions is a mess, though.

I mean, there were quite a few electro/synth albums released last year... I couldn't for the life of me figure out why more folks were banging on about the Grimes record above some of the others.

actually armor on is pretty sleep friendly i think, i fell asleep the first time i listened to it at my desk cuz i was super hungover and tired

altho now that i think about it more, you're living life wrong if you've never put "window seat" on replay and taken an impromptu nap

lol just catching up and this zone in zone out thing is just back of a fag packet distinction to basically say that Frank's grooves are perhaps a bit more ambient sounding (based on one track I've heard) and that it perhaps doesn't meet expectations of what an R&B album might normally sound like.

when i flew back to chicago from miami in nov. i spent a good portion of the plane ride falling in and out of sleep while listening to the latest titus andronicus album, so you're probably right

talabot album is dope... "so will be now..." was one of my fav songs of the year

Woop! I love the John Talabot album. One of my happiest memories of the year was cycling up towards the house I lived in out in the countryside for six months on a glorious July evening with 'Missing You' pumping into my lugholes. Strangely I didn't recognise the track that made the tracks poll and I'm starting to think it didn't copy over to my iPhone properly.

i can't even sleep on a plane if i taking melatonin

if i push myself through when i'd naturally fall asleep, i can only ever get a couple of hours of sleep

sorta surprised talabot got no number one votes, has an album ever come this high without any #1s?

It helps that Talabot was released right a the beginning of the year (which was otherwise a pretty stark time for me musicwise). It's been with me all year, slowly and warmly growing over me.

Both on my ballot but I liked kendrick record more than miguel.
