this is my reaction to basically everything on here, aside from gd anco, which is my autosignal for "do something else now, nothing else you care about will follow a discussion of this band" but maybe this time i'm wrong (still waiting)

Also: as far as Animal Collective are concerned, I've always thought they were a load of shite. Sorry folks.

Yay for "Blue Chips". If I'd submitted a weighted ballot, that one would have been top 3. I have a feeling that mixtape will overshadow his actual major label debut.

his 2012 output was strong altogether.. a bunch of the singles/videos that weren't from "blue chips" were just as good.

Two tracks into the Lower Dens album and I'm definitely feeling it.

The first "real" metal inclusion (though apparently Metz got some votes over in the metal poll).

Nice to see Christian Mistress place. I didn't vote for it here (I didn't like it as much as the prior album; felt it didn't hold together) but did put "Haunted Hunted" on my singles ballot.

hahaha i put on "haunted hunted" and i...kind of like this!

i like the crunching, deeper guitar riffs more than the guitar which keeps going widdly-widdly over the top (forgive my ignorance of proper metal terms here). her voice is pretty awesome! walks the line between seriousface and silliness quite adeptly.

if i hadn't picked up a few lyrics here and there (and if it wasn't for the widdly-widdly guitar) i'd have thought it was just heavy blues rock rather than metal. listening to another random youtube now, "pentagram and crucifix", not feeling it as much - again she's a great presence and i'm not turning it off, but i don't really think i'd play it again.

oh i am a runner but i never listen to music when i run, it's when i ~get away from music~ and also if i try to listen to music when i run i get tangled up and distracted by my headphones, unfortunately

i do treasure my work-out music, it's almost always techno/house though i can imagine this doing the job in certain moods
