Choir makes the song. Actually I think it saves it. This bunch remains the world's most frustratingly near-successful band for me.

Gospel choirs in rock are usually the last refuge of the lazy arse but this is great.

"Sacrilege" is incredible! vocals/choir aside, it kinda reminds me of ESG for some reason.

Surprised by the strong positive reaction here. I think the drumming sounds amazing and am not averse to the choir, but I would've really liked a double time freakout / some sort of jam towards the end, and the song generally doesn't hold a candle to the leading couple of singles from It's Blitz.

OTM. I suppose the upsetting of expectations is part of its charm. To me the choir sounds like it got off on the wrong bus stop.

not hearing the choir as a "jam" at the end of this disappoints me but doesn't really surprise me

I don't mind the single but I'm not blown away by it. I'm not too worried though as their lead singles are never my favourite songs on their albums, especially on the first two. Still hoping that the artwork is some kind of joke and they reveal a different cover at the last minute.

Saw them Saturday night here at FYF... Still lukewarm on the new album, but they've sorted it out live. Rich / Gold Lion/ Zero / Cheated Hearts all in a row is breathtaking stadium rock hit machine.

I suppose I get punched in the face if I say that SHOW YOUR BONES is their best proper album, right?

i think this record has some great songs, but that's counterweighted by having possibly the worst album cover of all time

"possibly the worst" leaves enough leeway for it to actually be the best album cover of all time so I'll allow it
