My bad, Alyssa Milano and virtually everything she's been in has basically zero profile over here and I didn't bother to actually google her. That was a pretty dumb assumption to jump to on my part, but he IS actually talking about her like she's a young girl. Like why is he giving himself a pat on the back for a 40-year old having listened to or (gasp) thought about not-terribly-obscure records that have been around half her lifetime?

Because Alyssa Milano did, at one time, have a terribly high profile over here, especially among people in Perpetua's age group, and it's like I said way upthread...he probably feels pretty cool atm for making a list that she saw and liked enough to retweet to a gazillion people. Perpetua hate amongst certain groups on ilx is way over the top.

I've known the guy for fifteen years, before ilx even came into existence, so I guess I just feel like I can read him a little better than some people around here and, yes, he's capable of being a completely infuriating blowhard and warped perceptions on some topics, but he's ultimately harmless and really not worth all the heated discussion he generates at times.
