hip hop releases? not many and primarily far more poppy than this thread cares to deal with.
I disagree with a lot of trap uber alles and crit rhetoric that gets slung around on here but it's been an excellent source for new music this year, no doubt. it's why i'm here!

i found the el-p pretty hit and miss but the hits are meaningful
one off singles by artists that are new to me are the most useful impact stuff on this thread for my money. that's how i vibed with 100s and why i've listened to this zilla track like nine zillion times this year

Zilla. Hardly a marketable rapper but I love the guy.

And two out of his three releases this year were pretty great even though no one really cares.
