Wow, that's some ignorant shit.

I mean, I know 2/3rds or more of rap has always been garbage, but this is kind of in a class by itself (based on stuff that has gotten this much attention, anyway).

I think if we took the words "my n*ggas!" out of that track to be replaced with dead air, you wouldn't have enough left to cover a commercial jingle. (Be a helluva commercial though.) Nice to see that the rap crowd has it's own version of Chavs.

I don't like/get most (mainstream) rap at all. I like 80s rap (if "It's Tricky" ever comes on at a party, or a supermarket you know I'm going to be dancing) and I also like Macklemore. A friend of mine said 'oh! If you like Macklemore, check out Odd Future.' I can't stress enough how much I'm put off my Odd Future and Tyler and the Creator. I don't like the music and his visuals are (intentionally) unsettling. Am I the whitest person ever? Or am I just an obscene hipster?

i think 95% of references to 'ratchet' these days are just using it interchangeably with 'ghetto' or w/e and not referencing whatever fake subgenre -- i'm not even sure if cali 'ratchet' is as famous as louisiana 'ratchet' circa 5 years ago

I don't think there's ever been an assumption that the thread titles would be 100% relevant a year on. That said, I'm fine with "rolling ratchet molly thread" but don't know if I can stand to look at a terrible pun like "molly ratchet" all year.

reversing it to "ratchet molly" just to AVOID the words fitting together in a way that has some logic is so silly
