it took them like three years to release an album that they'd already released, so, you know, delays, but i am kinda guiltily feeling this now

kristof-profiting-from-a-childs-illiteracy.html (schlump), Tuesday, 25 December 2012 06:09 (thirteen years ago)

there is some flurry about one track featuring "psychedelic bagpipes"

this has driven me into such a fit that i am now continually searching everything my bloody valentine in every possible venue i can think of, up to 3 times a day. funny thing is, considering UK/US time, any news release will likely happen while i'm asleep. i want to fucking hear this.

kelpolaris, Friday, 28 December 2012 07:00 (thirteen years ago)

Bagpipes are naturally plenty psychedelic.

Emperor Cos Dashit (Adam Bruneau), Friday, 28 December 2012 17:38 (thirteen years ago)

that leaked track is bullshit

akm, Friday, 28 December 2012 18:03 (thirteen years ago)

as someone who listened to his dad practice bagpipes on a daily basis for a few years, i regret to say that it is possible to play the bagpipes psychedelically :(

"reading specialist" (Z S), Friday, 28 December 2012 18:04 (thirteen years ago)

xpost are you serious?!

"reading specialist" (Z S), Friday, 28 December 2012 18:05 (thirteen years ago)

i regret to say that it is possible to play the bagpipes psychedelically :(

this should have been UNpsychedelically! or non. or whatever is bad

"reading specialist" (Z S), Friday, 28 December 2012 18:05 (thirteen years ago)

oh it was a joke

akm, Friday, 28 December 2012 18:08 (thirteen years ago)

that bullshit track is leaked

BIG HOOS aka the steendriver, Sunday, 6 January 2013 08:54 (thirteen years ago)

So it was by the end of this year, right?

Chewshabadoo, Sunday, 6 January 2013 11:08 (thirteen years ago)

The end of a year, yes.

Yo Leon, what's this all about? (GOTT PUNCH II HAWKWINDZ), Sunday, 6 January 2013 11:51 (thirteen years ago)

Er. I'm seeing this lot play out tonight. People are saying there might be some new songs.

kraudive, Sunday, 27 January 2013 15:34 (thirteen years ago)

I managed to get a couple of tickets on Friday night, so will be there. Personally I want them to only play new material, but knowing my luck it will all be old stuff.

Chewshabadoo, Sunday, 27 January 2013 16:38 (thirteen years ago)

Well. One new song and shit sound system. Enjoyed the classics, but really wanted more new songs.

Chewshabadoo, Sunday, 27 January 2013 22:47 (thirteen years ago)

i heard there were 2 new songs

and the album is coming out in 2 or 3 days

OR IS THAT NOT RELEVANT?

dojo, Sunday, 27 January 2013 22:50 (thirteen years ago)

I just assumed from Chewshabadoo's post that there was one new song and a shitty Operation Ivy cover.

MarkoP, Sunday, 27 January 2013 22:51 (thirteen years ago)

Shields mumbled something about this week and the album, but the sounds was so muffled I couldn’t be sure. First song was new, rest were classics.

Chewshabadoo, Sunday, 27 January 2013 23:23 (thirteen years ago)

How was the new song?

baby beluga (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Monday, 28 January 2013 00:06 (thirteen years ago)

Re: new song, I couldn’t make out the vocals and major teething problems with sound on the first few tracks. Sounded average, but hopefully the recorded version will sound better.
