thanks guys, loads of great stuff here, giving the White Light Optimo mix a go which is already sounding great (but then I love every mix I've heard from them)

I'm really enjoying the new double mix CD by Acid Pauli on Crosstown Rebels. First disc is slow, dubby house. Think Nocilas Jaar, Stimming, Raz Ohara, etc. The second disc picks up the pace a little, and moves from Dop to Autechre... really interesting and musical.

Beyond that, I would second those who've sad the Maya Jane Coles DJ Kicks is great. Also like Motor City Drum Ensemble's DJ Kicks. Some little heard gems on that. Have been a little disappointed by most Fabric mixes this year - Ben Klock a case in point.

fave commercial mixes of the year are LOL Boys Enter the Unknown and Silkie & Quest Dubstep Allstars 9

In terms of commercial mixes I'm still coming back to Paul Woolford's Lab 04 mix regularly. I think I need both Zip and Daniel Avery's recent fabric CDs too.

This is great, thanks! Constantly forget to check out new BIS shows...

I saw Prosumer in Cologne last week and when he played that Addictive & DJ Naughty track that's also in the BIS mix (+ a bunch of other UK Funky) it really went off. I checked hardwax and they used to stock that record, I'm guessing that was largely down to him.

One of my favourite mixes not mentioned so far is Late Nite Tuff Guy's 'One Night In A Disco' mix, filled with his endlessly sumptuous and listenable edits - the edit of Change's "A Lover's Holiday" in particular always makes me smile.

The mere mention of Late Nite Tuff Guy has me excited these days, I adore what he did with Prince's "Controversy".

TUFF WEDDING

finally got around to hearing that tuff guy mix - a lot of my listening is at work so given it didn't stream from his site, i had to download it. it's really good - i'm a bit bored of the type of edit that seems to be so dominant now but there's a freshness about the stuff in that mix. it's like he is extending the grooves of the originals rather than picking an element and zoning in on it.

i had heard the amazing "want you back in my bed" one before but not any of the others.
