yeah it feels like labels have gotten better lately about capitalizing on whatever momentum they have instead of quixotically waiting out for some imaginary ideal moment to set a release date -- meek and kendrick and 2 chainz definitely benefited from a minimum of hemming and hawing. fun to watch the superstardom preview of the matrix 12 presumed for a$ap rocky wither on the vine, though.

the french thing is especially funny because obviously you could put eli porter on the first verse of "pop that" and it would be just as big a hit but still he's never gonna have a song bigger than that, just give him a fuckin release date already.

its such a mercenary stab at a hit record i kind of sympathize, since asap is normally so tastefully evading anything that could resemble a hook

yeah that song is alright... i caught myself singing that hook recently. but if that song does nothing than he's already down two strikes when you consider the hit-boy single from earlier this year
