guessing the busiest is probably the music board at kanyetothe.com. then maybe rapmusic.com's battle rap board & ughh.com's hip hop board.

zvookster, Tuesday, 23 October 2012 13:54 (thirteen years ago)

ughh.com

Stay far far away imo.

Spottie_Ottie_Dope, Tuesday, 23 October 2012 14:55 (thirteen years ago)

tpp, Tuesday, 23 October 2012 15:55 (thirteen years ago)

i really don't believe kanye to the forum is any more of a rap board than, like, ILM

i used to glance at the ahh.com and sohh.com forums now and again but i have no idea if they're as busy as they used to be

my mansplain songz (some dude), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 16:00 (thirteen years ago)

kanyetothe have a 3717 page thread on the Kendrick album

Number None, Tuesday, 23 October 2012 16:03 (thirteen years ago)

my mansplain songz (some dude), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 16:07 (thirteen years ago)

here is the board http://www.kanyetothe.com/forum/index.php?board=3.0

zvookster, Tuesday, 23 October 2012 17:12 (thirteen years ago)

i think twitter helped decimate a lot of those message boards

fanute da croupier (D-40), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 17:24 (thirteen years ago)

i have to stop looking at the kanye board, i could c&p hilarious shit from there all day

my mansplain songz (some dude), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 17:25 (thirteen years ago)

that place is truly incredible

lil dirk (J0rdan S.), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 17:27 (thirteen years ago)

they had, like, a 30+ page thread on the kendrick/drake SONG two weeks before the album even leaked

lil dirk (J0rdan S.), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 17:27 (thirteen years ago)

lengthy argument about whether t.i. "stole" kanye's idea of releasing single artwork before releasing the song itself

my mansplain songz (some dude), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 17:29 (thirteen years ago)

hahaha

lil dirk (J0rdan S.), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 17:30 (thirteen years ago)

and they're all so positive!

O-Jah Da Lionmane (longneck), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 17:50 (thirteen years ago)

Sums up perfectly @lex M@cpherson's game; nigga's trollin' for controversy and page views.

terrell sug (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 18:04 (thirteen years ago)

Anyone know where this dudes kids go to school? He needs to know how it feels to have one of his kids robbed like I do right now.

O-Jah Da Lionmane (longneck), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 18:06 (thirteen years ago)

what a weird obsession with metacritic scores

Regional Tug (irrational), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 18:13 (thirteen years ago)

It's a very weird board. But yeah, that's weird even for very weird boards.

O-Jah Da Lionmane (longneck), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 18:15 (thirteen years ago)

well, if any music board was going to have an "ARMOND RUINED THE ROTTEN TOMATOES SCORE!!!!" equivalent it would be a kanye board

my mansplain songz (some dude), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 19:11 (thirteen years ago)

blow the **** up outta his twitter. ****ing ****, take care didn't deserve a 1/5 and mbdtf damn sure didn't deserve a 2/5. he hates niggas it's that simple. @lex m@cpherson is a racist.

r|t|c, Tuesday, 23 October 2012 19:14 (thirteen years ago)

oh is that the thread where they were arguing over whether i was white or a "chink"

lex pretend, Tuesday, 23 October 2012 19:15 (thirteen years ago)

i was confused, it was like...my byline picture is right there and not blurry or anything?

lex pretend, Tuesday, 23 October 2012 19:16 (thirteen years ago)

i prefer the ATRL kidz obv

Guardian writer @lex M@cPherson interviewed Her today. He really gets the Lord & Her music so I can not WAIT for that to be published. On ilxor he wrote that She said he was "so legit". We're gonna get smart and interesting questions.

<3

lex pretend, Tuesday, 23 October 2012 19:22 (thirteen years ago)

Thanks guys

turds (Hungry4Ass), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 20:38 (thirteen years ago)

waheeey 'kobe' sounds awesome. so so hyped for the keef album.

tpp, Tuesday, 23 October 2012 20:58 (thirteen years ago)

Did I mention that I think the Keef album will be the Flockaveli of 2012? Cause it will. It might even outsell it by quite a bit.

O-Jah Da Lionmane (longneck), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 21:17 (thirteen years ago)

"on ilxor" !?

all mods con (k3vin k.), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 21:28 (thirteen years ago)

i kinda have no idea why people have any serious commercial expectations for Chief Keef, other than some bullshit cyclical theories about gangsta rap getting big again

my mansplain songz (some dude), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 21:38 (thirteen years ago)

he's not gonna move Macklemore numbers

terrell sug (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 21:48 (thirteen years ago)

i reckon some of his new songs could get radio play. idk about selling albums

tpp, Tuesday, 23 October 2012 21:50 (thirteen years ago)

When Drake tweets that he has listened to Love Sosa 130 times in 3 days, buzz is definitely building.
Plus there will be at least one more big single, possibly two. It will sell.

O-Jah Da Lionmane (longneck), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 21:57 (thirteen years ago)

When Drake tweets that he has listened to Love Sosa 130 times in 3 days, buzz is definitely building.

i mean, i definitely think deej is influential but lets not overstate things

terrell sug (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 22:06 (thirteen years ago)

lol

by most definitions of "big single" he hasn't actually had a big single yet, at least not in the sense where Waka is the bar he's being held up to

my mansplain songz (some dude), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 22:09 (thirteen years ago)

Just give Love Sosa a couple of weeks. It's a hit.

fanute da croupier (D-40), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 22:16 (thirteen years ago)

longneck i heard drake tweeted something about this song, can you give me the deets!?

my mansplain songz (some dude), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 22:21 (thirteen years ago)

Anytime.

O-Jah Da Lionmane (longneck), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 22:22 (thirteen years ago)

I really hope the Keef album is this year's Flockaveli. And I mean almost 2 million views for "Love Sosa" video on YouTube in 5 days? That's buzz.

I mean, when my good friend, who likes basically Kanye/Drake/Big Sean/Tyga/etc latches onto this song and then comes to ME and is like "Have you heard of this Chief Keef guy?" that's a pretty good barometer for me of something special happening.

king louie riel (rennavate), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 23:02 (thirteen years ago)

also i think i like "love sosa" more than "i don't like"

king louie riel (rennavate), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 23:07 (thirteen years ago)

me 2 but i feel like that might be kanye's fault

fanute da croupier (D-40), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 23:12 (thirteen years ago)

i feel like it's always kanye's fault

king louie riel (rennavate), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 23:13 (thirteen years ago)

that said i cant abide this 'the next flockaveli' talk b/c there's something abt waka's limitations granting him a weird kind of consistency b/c it was so easy for him to fill his lane & low expectations, he didn't have a 3 mill. deal or anything like that. but also just musically

aka it remains to be seen if keef can translate irl buzz to actual $$$ i wd think

fanute da croupier (D-40), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 23:15 (thirteen years ago)

i would bet keef makes a more flawed record tbh, but that the highs might strike a lil more ... deeply? on keef's. i mean think about it, there's something to the fact that waka could talk about some real shit & a lot of folks would basically reduce it to "hes like hip hop punk rock"-type shit, i'm not sure folks ever real gave waka much credit so there wasn't the same bond ... keef is like waka meets meek mill or something

fanute da croupier (D-40), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 23:17 (thirteen years ago)

anyway i'm just cautious in general about these kind of 'its the new [x]' type statements in general

fanute da croupier (D-40), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 23:18 (thirteen years ago)

Oh, I only call it that because I think it will be an uncomprimising album by an artist representing something new, yielding a great batch of singles, and an album that will gain a large following and sell a good deal but will also turn out to be divisive, with all the real-hiphop people complaining a lot about the artist's lack of talent, yet it will be seen as a milestone for years to come by people who care about such things. Nothing deeper than that.

O-Jah Da Lionmane (longneck), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 23:25 (thirteen years ago)

I am expecting at least three or four boring songs though.
