i thought you were talking about new artists or people they've picked up recently? but yeah they definitely have the best major label roster in rap right now, have for a minute.
― some dude, Wednesday, 28 January 2009 03:54 (seventeen years ago)
atlantic is also pretty much the only major label promoting US hip-hop in the UK w/any degree of competency

haha serius jones would murk rhymefest
― jordy (J0rdan S.), Friday, 30 January 2009 03:01 (seventeen years ago)
Are there any good recent Serius Jones battle verses? I used to love it when he turned up as bored as hell, not rhyming anything, and just bodying Jin by making lots of really racist "Slitty eyes, eat dogs, small dicks, can I go now?" gags.
― Mare Street tour guide (Dom Passantino), Friday, 30 January 2009 03:03 (seventeen years ago)
hmm im not sure - his shit vs jin on fight klub was really hilarious. i know he had a thing w/ murda mook on the smack dvds but that was a few years back. im gonna hit youtube in a sec
― jordy (J0rdan S.), Friday, 30 January 2009 03:13 (seventeen years ago)
Serius and Rhymefest are both talented funny never-gonna-make-it motherfuckers that i have nothing but love for, lotsa fun to see them beating up on that wack little headcase

hey ethan, i want to talk about this esham album
its real interesting!! at first i really wasnt feeling it and then maybe the 3rd time the vibe just totally switches up it suddenly started to make sense -- theres sort of a like horrocore madvillain vibe about it to me, the short tracks & samples & the way he jumps subject matter & narrative approach so often -- also the album makes so much more sense as 'an album' which is a thing that when ppl say it normally it pisses me off cuz its totally bullshit 99% of the time, but here it really feels true -- like u would send me tracks and it wouldnt hit but in context its like this weird cool journey.
one beat that really stuck out btw was 'aint no telling' (thats gotta be j-zone right?? & this is gonna sound way ilxorish but hes really the rap producer's todd edwards). his verses on it are nice too
― twitty milk (deej), Friday, 30 January 2009 10:04 (seventeen years ago)
I really like the mideast vibe on 'sacrificial lambs' and the more conservative sound on "all pro" which is like the typical deej 'i love this rote boring album track more than actually weird ones' joint
btw making me listen to this is only gonna make our last.fm compatibility more "SUPER"

― crackers is biters (M@tt He1ges0n), Friday, 30 January 2009 18:41 (seventeen years ago)
hmmm love term and all but the whole fag baiting thing seemed a little tired...plus the way he says "where's the masculinity?" at the end was lol and n/h to the maxxx
