i got confused when trying to vote for misfits albums because i just listen to the box set all the time so i never remember which ones are which.

That's just a British EP with a few songs off the 70s singles.

I just listen to the Misfits compilation, jjj otm misfits albums are totally confusing to me

I get the feeling that those who lived through the decade and were into the music at the time are voting for different stuff to those of us who were old enough to grow up in the 80s but were unaware of that stuff at the time who are voting for different albums from those who did notgrow up in the 80s.

but it sure makes a fun but odd poll.

xpost yeah I think that's why I didn't vote for Sonic Youth in the tracks poll, because I don't really associate them with the 80s personally, because I came into them in the 90s. I mean, I came into stuff like Maiden way later but they sort of feel 80's to me.

I have this album but obviously had never even heard of sonny sharrock in the 80s. I first heard of him cuz he worked with laswell and some pfunkers.

There's obv no way I'm going to get anywhere near to listening to all of these, but I'll give the Plasmatics and DAF albums a go as those are both acts that I've been meaning to properly investigate for a while now.
Even though I'm not the biggest Replacements fan overall Sorry Ma does feel a bit too low.

pretenders is a pretty good album, "tattooed love boys" is my jam. woulda voted for it but had to make room for all these butthole surfers records.

Everyone has all the time in the world to check these albums out. It's not a race.
And if you see them in a bargain bin you might just pick some out and go "wow" when you hear them.

If you see that Misfits record in a bargain bin go "wow" and stick it on Ebay.
