this new Out of the box mix is sounding good. Lil Silva has really confounded me with his stuff over the last year or so, starting around Cheese n Bun thru to this new one and Living like I do, its like they only really make sense to me when DJ Q plays them.

heh i did most of them as part of a big jackin binge this weekend and they have (or more likely my mind has) all kinda melted into one thing

instincts say the cause n affect might still be the best, or at least neatest, of the bunch but nothing's useless (trak2 are reliably good iirc)

still pine somewhat for hearing more of marcus nasty mixes of this stuff, he seems to london it up a little somehow and no one else is better at the light n sweet / dark n moody internal monologue that this music at its best demands

(actually that is perhaps an unfair overemphasis but either way he does bring something slightly different and very excellent to the table)

i could of course just check some marcus sets sometime but the prospect of even having to flick through the usual bass bollocks is prohibitively dispiriting
