Dont even think they got spoken about on the thread when i tried to bring them up.

Jordan always left me a bit cold. Albini's trying so damn hard to blow the listener away, but the execution never matches the concept. I love Atomizer, but feel surprising meh about Jordan.

Speaking personally I held back including this because placing it in a poll would have felt a bit like bigging up the infamy and saying 'haha isn't child abuse so entertaining'. It is a good tune though.

i love TMBG (was just listening to them!) and especially "Ana Ng" but it made no sense to me that they were nominated so i didn't vote for them

Rolling Stone canons have always stretched the definition of rock to include any kind of pop music that has even vague associations w/rock. this poll is sticking w/a narrower definition of rock, but within that has expanded laterally to embrace all forms of metal at one end and noise rock at the other. so even though there may be some overlap between the two, and AG's poll isn't an anti-RS canon in the strictest sense, it's rooted in a different sensibility.
