I nominated the Scratch Acid, Rapeman and Live Skull. didn't vote for Rapeman, and Scratch Acid was in the bottom ten, but Fort Belvedere was top 5. easily their best track, managing a perfectly-balanced tension between angry, propulsive dissonance and a narcotic, noirish haze. fantastic and underrated.

I've liked the Birthday Party for a long time, but my views on them used to be that while they're obv noisy and full of energy, their sound was too deliberately chaotic and discontinuous to 'rock' as such. Listening back to them for this poll though I've revised my opinion: a lot of their stuff is rhythmically compelling in its own way (while still being skronky). Love the snare action on tunes like Dead Joe and Blast Off.
