I believe this video actually is the weaponized entertainment of Infinite jest. Just startled that the Entertainment turns out to include a dude yelling at a butt.

I'm still pondering how the ADD generation decided that the next best thing is a music video that lasts over 4 minutes. I still haven't watched the full video. Both the song and the video overwear their welcome by the middle.

I'm trying to unpack that challop and failing.

I'm really thinking this might be the most important music video since OK Go treadmill time. I think its mix of gorgeous/inscrutable nails what the internet generation wants perfectly. AND it looks amazing because no one in America is spending this type of money on videos.

dude DOES has a pretty serious career, but as I understand it it's as a jester/trickster type of pop star rather than a heartthrob/pinup type of pop star

i had been trying to avoid this ever since i asked twitter what it was and whether it was "internet humour" and the answer was basically yes. and then i went to a wedding and couldn't avoid it. it's TOTALLY only popular because of the comedy asian. dislike this immensely.
