this whole thing is depressing. i feel stuck between a rock & a hard place; either i'm copping out now by not weighing in after being involved in saying this was important to talk about, or if i do address this stuff, having an opinion is pointless b/c people will just assume im doing it for careerist reasons, to justify my own work's importance or whatever.

Its not just that although theyre contributing in a big way. Its the entire environment has this really charged, negative feeling. People are throwing barbs all over, blaming journalists for covering it, a lot of finger pointing. Idk what they are even looking for at this point
