new Trouble is awesome. Between this, "Molly World" & the track w/ gucci, this is easily one of my most anticipated records

This time, "the plot," as Lupe calls it, is to release the album's first installment in September and the sequel in early 2013, with several singles hitting airwaves along the way.

"It's meant to tell the great American experience, touch on my ideas, my very rough, very unfinished, unpolished thoughts and feelings about America: American history, American culture, American society, American beauty, American food. You'll see that laced throughout the album," he said.

If the first two joints, "Bitch Bad" and "Around My Way (Freedom Ain't Free)," are any barometer, the rapper's reputation for blistering social and political commentary will remain intact. No hos, weed and rims here, thank you.

when i was playing with the group unkn0wn pr0phets, we opened for Lupe....after the show we were loading out and he was on the tour bus, there was a line of white private school college chicks (this gig was at a private school) lined up to get in the bus....i saw in the bus and they were partying and watching re-runs of Martin on the TV.

we live in wack times

Jandek at the Disco (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Monday, 13 August 2012 21:23 (thirteen years ago)

i mean, the fact that he's also producing tracks for both of the other acts listed on the cover sort of justifies it, no?

bugler, Monday, 13 August 2012 21:34 (thirteen years ago)

or at least it says more about his reach than the azaelia banks pairing

bugler, Monday, 13 August 2012 21:36 (thirteen years ago)

i don't really know where a "what happened to you, vibe, you used to be cool" reaction can even come from w/ that tbh

Pollopolicía (some dude), Monday, 13 August 2012 21:37 (thirteen years ago)

I dont even know that I think this sucks per se (forksclovetofu), Monday, 13 August 2012 21:57 (thirteen years ago)

i'm not talking about vibe magazine i'm talking about the whole world

Jandek at the Disco (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Monday, 13 August 2012 22:04 (thirteen years ago)

oh "we live in wack times" is definitely a good epigraph to fix in my mind for anytime i'm reminded that either of those people exist. i can't really dedicate any energy to being actively annoyed, though.

Pollopolicía (some dude), Monday, 13 August 2012 22:10 (thirteen years ago)

hating diplo is like hating blimps

justin beiber is doing fine.
rick ross is meh

2 chainz is a very some dude esque rapper; grassroots popular, tested, can make hits, dad jokes

protected by viper. stand back. (D-40), Tuesday, 14 August 2012 18:24 (thirteen years ago)

haha otm, this is what i wrote about him 3 months ago:

I think I just identify with this dorky-looking, tall 30-something dude with a penchant for cheesy dad jokes that has somehow become one of the most ubiquitous rappers of 2012.

Pollopolicía (some dude), Tuesday, 14 August 2012 18:31 (thirteen years ago)
