I'm curious about the criteria for qualification with fIREHOSE, Pixies, the Fall, and Spacemen 3.

i am mad about people nominating pixes and early swans and sonic youth. mostly because i like to be made about things, but also cuz the former seem too indie-pop for this poll, and the latter don't rock in any sense i understand. "death valley '69", otoh, definitely belongs in tracks.

white kross, pch, hot wire my heart, point taken. it's funny, but those albums are defined in my head by their blurrier & softer aspects, but song for song, there's a lot of straight up action rock.

confusion is sex has a good amount of legit rockers: inhuman, world looks red, making the nature scene, etc.

There are soft/blurry tracks on Zeppelin and Sabbath albums too!
