so raider klvn is basically tumblr rap right? breaking apart the DNA of influences on this one is kinda fun

overall presentation & look is nu chicago ish, hook is nu chicago, rap flow is pure memphis, lyrics in the hook are pure raider klan -- like replace chicago street culture with cross-generational video game references

noz has been arguing there's a pan-regional rap street movement that chicago is just one part of but i kind of think there's a distinct chi sound & feel which this is trading on. I guess depending on which side of that argument yr on, would decide whether you think this is representative

yeah that's just crazy to me! like i'd take the "no lie" beat over the "mercy" beat but it feels like the quality of his verses on those songs is majorly slanted in the opposite direction.
