i don't really feel that this adds much to the song, and the false stop is kind of jarring, but it's fine

on the other hand if this is your first time hearing it there's no sense that the song faffs around.

yeah it still sounds weird to me... but i don't think that's really unexpected considering how attached i am to the original version

it still sounds great tho, and i feel less weird about naming it my favorite song of 2012 (so far) now that it's an actual single

and yeah his voice is terrific. As much as I love the tension borne of restraint in A&P the abandon in "All" and the love-man vigor here are just as satisfying.

well it is and it isn't - something like it is there but not so high pitched and forward in the mix

I listened to the new versh on headphones and yeah the little 'pop' sound is not very noticeable, it really pops on my speakers tho

definitely sticks out more in this mix, i feel like the bassline is more at the forefront, too.

miguel is so good w/ backing vocals. i could listen to an entire album of his just layering oohs and ahhs w/o even writing actual "songs"

not sure how I'd restrain myself if I watched him record the "ahhhs" in "All"

Not sure the extra bit of Adorn really makes it a measurably better or worse song, but that's mostly cause it was already great.

Arch N Point also my most played 2012 track thus far.

i dunno if it feels obvious to anyone else but it seems really clear to me that "Adorn" was 3 minutes long to begin with and the first version released was truncated, rather than the ending being added after the fact. the awkward 'ooh ooh' on the original ending actual fits now.

I kinda doubt that. Seems like his label decided they wanted to push it and needed a more conventional structure/length.
