Hey, did someone delete a whole bunch of stuff from the Spotify playlist? There were 600+ tracks on it at one point, now it's only showing a meagre 118! Or is there something funny going on with my PC? What do other people see?

Ha xp!

here's a version i saved when somebody first posted a link, 474 tracks...

Hey that's better than nothing! Looks like it goes up to 'S', so I'll delete all the tracks from the current playlist up to that letter, then drag your version over. Maybe get round to filling in the blanks again the next time I'm sat in front of a dull football match.

Zaireeka Badu (NickB), Monday, 18 June 2012 11:47 (thirteen years ago)

On the other hand I might just get a life instead.

Zaireeka Badu (NickB), Monday, 18 June 2012 11:49 (thirteen years ago)

Sigh...

Zaireeka Badu (NickB), Monday, 18 June 2012 11:50 (thirteen years ago)

I have some spare time at the moment, so do you think it'd be okay if I already started the nominations thread for the 90s electronic tracks poll? Obviously I won't start the actual poll thread until after this one is over.

Tuomas, Wednesday, 27 June 2012 10:06 (thirteen years ago)

why not?

dan138zig (Durrr Durrr Durrrrrr), Wednesday, 27 June 2012 13:28 (thirteen years ago)

Okay, if no one's against it, I'll start the nomination thread soon.

Why do the claim Tangerine Dream's Phaedra came out in 1967, when it was released in 1974?

Tuomas, Wednesday, 4 July 2012 07:35 (thirteen years ago)

they don't

somebody want to do this for me, i'm up to my neck in family / work / life bullshit IRL

the late great, Saturday, 7 July 2012 09:22 (thirteen years ago)

I'll do it for you if nobody else wants to, but I'd rather let someone else do it - let's give it 24 hours to see if anyone volunteers

Özil Gummidge (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Saturday, 7 July 2012 12:19 (thirteen years ago)

Yeah I can do it, depending on what "it" is. Starting a thread for/rolling out results is no problem.

EDB, Saturday, 7 July 2012 14:02 (thirteen years ago)

do it!

the late great, Friday, 13 July 2012 00:25 (thirteen years ago)

late great, why don't you just pass the data to someone who's willing to calculate?

dan138zig (Durrr Durrr Durrrrrr), Friday, 13 July 2012 00:34 (thirteen years ago)

I wanna know!

Legendary General Cypher Raige (Gukbe), Friday, 13 July 2012 00:43 (thirteen years ago)

i would be happy to but afaict nobody wants to calculate

the late great, Friday, 13 July 2012 00:48 (thirteen years ago)

i floated the idea upthread but got no webmails

the late great, Friday, 13 July 2012 00:48 (thirteen years ago)

I'll do it but I've never done it before and am not entirely sure what it entails.

Legendary General Cypher Raige (Gukbe), Friday, 13 July 2012 00:55 (thirteen years ago)

ok do you have a gmail account? if so gmail me at the address at the top of the thread

hi everyone

i had about half the votes put into a spreadsheet when excel crashed and i haven't had any luck recovering my work

one of the things that's making this so tedious and time-consuming is that i got the ballots in many different formats and reconciling them into a spreadsheet is taking a long-ass time

it would be much easier if the emails were all delimited in the same ways. apparently excel has extremely limited capabilities in converting delimited text to spreadsheet

any ideas?

the late great, Friday, 13 July 2012 05:57 (thirteen years ago)

short of asking everyone to enter their ballots into a google spreadsheet themselves, which i haven't ruled out ...

the late great, Friday, 13 July 2012 05:58 (thirteen years ago)

for my paul simon poll i just put everything into notepad and from there into excel where i had the formulas already input e.g. 1st = x points and the calculations for average placement &c &c so the only stuff i had to do by hand were the # of first place votes... i think i had to clean up a couple of ballots first but it was p easy

for the spec fic poll i had an access database set up but i still had to reformat some stuff by hand before i could sort and calculate
