Saved is so the perfect bored-watch-it-on-cable movie.

long story short, i ran the teleprompter for an event she spoke at -- I got there for the rehearsal the day before, and had this huge script to format for the prompter, and was maybe halfway done when they put me onstage w/o telling me a) that we were doing something from the 2nd half of the script and b) that the speaker was Mandy Moore. so i see someone vaguely familiar in sunglasses onstage, then find the 'Mandy' part of the script and go woah that's her! and we have this really awkward rehearsal where the prompter script is full of blank space and unnecessary stage directions and she's struggling to read it and trying to complain about it as nicely as possible -- I call out "I'm working on it!" and probably sounded like I was made or something so she came over and introduced herself and was super nice about making sure we got it fixed. didn't get to talk to her the next day when we did the actual event, would've told her Saved was a dope movie if i got a chance (because it would've been weird to tell her how many times i've watched Chasing Liberty).

it's entirely likely she did not like me or assumed i hated her so it'd have to be one of those sassy rom coms where they don't get along at first. also the people w/ the company that hired her for the event were terrible and gave me script changes at the last possible minute that slightly fucked things up, so thoy're the villains fyi.

even as an awkward meeting though it was still a nice way to end a week where I ran a prompter for Rick fucking Santorum

I would/could actually defend either of these songs, but my kids (ages 4 & 7) LOVE "We R Young" so much that they made me download it and play it for them as many as 5 times in a row in the car, and I still don't hate it. So I'll vote that, if partly for how funny it is to hear a 4-year-old singing along phonetically.
