i just love him singing about blowing out her candles on birthday cake

teledyldonix, Sunday, 10 June 2012 20:30 (fourteen years ago)

Why? Cuz its a dick move?

freebroheem (loves laboured breathing), Sunday, 10 June 2012 20:58 (fourteen years ago)

"Birthday Cake" is such a hilariously incoherent mix of sexual metaphors, at one point Rihanna basically tells him to stick a candle up her ass and throw a stack of money at her boobs

shipl.de.al (some dude), Monday, 11 June 2012 01:22 (fourteen years ago)

just ate birthday CAKE CAKE CAKE CAKE

they loooovin the crut (The Reverend), Monday, 11 June 2012 03:30 (fourteen years ago)

xp i was being sarcastic, that shit makes me switch the dial instantly

like idk, to me it sounds uncomfortably like he's threatening to kill her

teledyldonix, Monday, 11 June 2012 21:20 (fourteen years ago)

obv he should threaten to kill her in a comfortable way

teledyldonix, Monday, 11 June 2012 21:20 (fourteen years ago)

I was thinking Drizzy was the only major star other than Jay & Bey who had resisted working with CB (apparently the collaboration that recently leaked was recorded before the domestic abuse incident) and well

they loooovin the crut (The Reverend), Thursday, 14 June 2012 12:46 (fourteen years ago)

Drake was on the "Deuces" remix

bronytheus (some dude), Thursday, 14 June 2012 12:53 (fourteen years ago)

oh word? i managed to go without ever hearing it. never mind then.

they loooovin the crut (The Reverend), Thursday, 14 June 2012 12:55 (fourteen years ago)

yeah. and that was even after Drake had been linked w/ Rihanna.

bronytheus (some dude), Thursday, 14 June 2012 12:57 (fourteen years ago)

smh

they loooovin the crut (The Reverend), Thursday, 14 June 2012 13:00 (fourteen years ago)

J0rdan S., Thursday, 14 June 2012 13:27 (fourteen years ago)

oh wait n/m i see you mentioned that

J0rdan S., Thursday, 14 June 2012 13:27 (fourteen years ago)

not sure where i stand on this fight... of course i'm all for chris brown being attacked, but i can't determine if throwing bottles is extremely ham or a cop out

J0rdan S., Thursday, 14 June 2012 13:33 (fourteen years ago)

throwing bottles is not cool. Apparently some bystanders got injured too

Number None, Thursday, 14 June 2012 13:34 (fourteen years ago)

it's so weird to have this daily soap opera playing out while "Take Care" and "Birthday Cake" etc. are all over the radio

bronytheus (some dude), Thursday, 14 June 2012 13:36 (fourteen years ago)

reminds me of the 50/Game thing happening while "How We Do" and "Hate It Or Love It" were huge

bronytheus (some dude), Thursday, 14 June 2012 13:37 (fourteen years ago)

bronytheus (some dude), Friday, 15 June 2012 00:40 (fourteen years ago)

probably shit but from tmz "Brown's friend was acting as if he was associated with a gang .... which is significant because Chris is not allowed to associate with gang members as part of his probation in the Rihanna beating case. "

hope it's true and he goes to jail.

owenf, Friday, 15 June 2012 15:38 (fourteen years ago)

yeah but how many dumbasses throw up gang sign bullshit and aren't even close to being in a gang?

wack nerd zinging in the dead of night (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Friday, 15 June 2012 15:56 (fourteen years ago)

Chris Brown is never going to go to jail

a dense custard of infinity (Shakey Mo Collier), Friday, 15 June 2012 15:58 (fourteen years ago)

how's life, Friday, 15 June 2012 16:09 (fourteen years ago)

I don't even know how to react to this

Victory Chainsaw! (DJP), Friday, 15 June 2012 18:39 (fourteen years ago)

yeah i mean everything going on with these people is just one big horrible neverending soap opera at this point. i don't know what i'm more afraid of, still hearing these clowns on the radio every day 5 years from now, or still having to hear about their little controversies.

bronytheus (some dude), Friday, 15 June 2012 18:41 (fourteen years ago)

there'll be a new set of petulant pop stars in 5 years. there always is.

a dense custard of infinity (Shakey Mo Collier), Friday, 15 June 2012 18:43 (fourteen years ago)

probably Bieber, Will Smith's kids, somebody British

a dense custard of infinity (Shakey Mo Collier), Friday, 15 June 2012 18:44 (fourteen years ago)

if Bieber is still around in 5 years I'm gonna cry

well, you were the guy that said 3 years ago that CB would bounce back and be bigger than ever, and you were right.

bronytheus (some dude), Friday, 15 June 2012 18:46 (fourteen years ago)

oh I don't think Brown's gonna go away entirely, but the gaping mainstream media maw will just turn its ravenous attentions to feeding on a younger set once he's in his late 20s. as it always does when someone gets too old to appeal to the target demo.

a dense custard of infinity (Shakey Mo Collier), Friday, 15 June 2012 18:54 (fourteen years ago)

if Bieber is still around in 5 years I'm gonna cry

that guy's not going anywhere for the next few years. he still has his "I am an ADULT" phase to go through, and that will be where he really makes assloads of money/gets tons of exposure. that will last a couple years, people will argue some more about whether he should be taken "seriously" as an "artist", then he will get too old to appeal to either gay men or hysterical little girls, and his turn in the spotlight will be more or less over and he will have to find some new outlet like showing up on SNL all the time or racing sports cars or something.

a dense custard of infinity (Shakey Mo Collier), Friday, 15 June 2012 18:57 (fourteen years ago)

well the thing is now there's this weird ugly spiral of him being a bigger and bigger asshole, most people hating him more and more, and his fanbase feeling emboldened to champion even more, which makes his records bigger, which makes him act more entitled, etc etc etc. i suppose that cycle has to end at some point but it feels so self-perpetuating at the moment.

also where urban radio used to be really fickle and big stars would come and go in 2-3 years, now it feels like the same basic set of major stars has been going for the last 8 or so years straight with very minor changes in the lineup

bronytheus (some dude), Friday, 15 June 2012 18:57 (fourteen years ago)

bieber, willow smith and cher lloyd - PLEASE let shakey mo's prediction come true

kanye kardashian (lex pretend), Friday, 15 June 2012 18:59 (fourteen years ago)

hmmm yeah maybe the cycle's getting longer cuz the major labels are so much more risk-averse to promoting new acts

xp

a dense custard of infinity (Shakey Mo Collier), Friday, 15 June 2012 18:59 (fourteen years ago)

altho I dunno who are we talking about here besides Breezy - Rihanna, Gaga, Drake...? Gaga's really only been going for 5 years or so. Drake's been building up to his time in the spotlight for years what with the whole child-star-actor thing...
