hey i said its a cool song. i just wish the mix didn't all bleed together. look at it from the POV of a DJ who is trying to work w/ an unweildy crowd unfamiliar with the music (& i don't even mean diplo at a trendy club but like, the people who are at the front lines of spinning this stuff) & its just that much harder to convince a crowd of a song's worth when it doesn't have presence. there's a subconscious bias from NORMALS against shittily mastered songs when they haven't had them hammered into their brains already by radio or what have u

aw, admittedly most of the guests bring their C game lyrically, but that song reminds me pleasantly of middle school gymnasium dances soundtracked by En vogue and Salt n Pepa. the verses are charmingly artless and unthreatening.

yeah, dimly remember something like that (ron trent/badu) but now i see he did like 5 mixes so i shall have to reinvestigate

am no sway lover either but he deserves massive, massive credit for doing separate flows & lyrics for each of the 'level up' remixes - sunship mix is really good but the blame dnb mix with leshurr is still my fave for the way the song's completely switched up into a relationship angst duet (ie time for sway to level up as a boyfriend)

best nu-sunship mix is probs still the alyssa reid 'alone again' one imo, and then maybe the one for ny 'music'

they don't half churn them out though
