Is there a spreadsheet hiding somewhere? How do you know you've been (or haven't been) awarded your first pick? Didn't get a confirmation email or anything

As a drone rock person I put 'Within You, Without You' as my Number 1 which I didn't get.

I'm actually kinda scared I got my FAVOURITE song. Like, so much to live up to. Almost wish I'd got a 2nd or 3rd choice so it wouldn't matter so much to me if I mucked it up.

But not enough to change now, mind.

You can submit songs via ILX webmail through my pplains name, but I likely won't see it for awhile and I can't respond to robot @ ilxor.

Got my #2 choice, lots and lots of chords, luckily I cheated and found them on the interwebs rather than sitting down and working it all out myself, fuck that.

I'm unutterably stupid. How does one figure what songs have been claimed and what haven't? Or is it simply submit and pray?

I've already bitten off more than I can chew.

I've been a little intimidated myself, even though I haven't even officially picked a song. Crüt's link up there, about which chords with which songs and the arrangements and the oh my makes me feel like I'm going to try to re-write Shakespere.

Just gotta remember that no one's going to top the most successful band in history with a four-track in their bedroom. I sure as hell hope that no one notices that I can't play a minor chord on my bass. None of that was our intention going into this anyway, I don't think.

yeah this is basically going to be me setting aside an hour or two and seeing what happens. and whatever happens, you all will have to listen to!

Good Lord, I just forced myself to listen to that Phish White Album show for the first time and I think ILX is going to be just fine with this.

I'm keeping an eye out for any two or more songs that sync together. For example, if someone claims "Mean Mr. Mustard" and someone else gets "Polythene Pam", I'll let those two ILXors know about the other.

l been busy on my track, need to redo the lead guitar break to my satisfaction, then it's all about the mix..
