I was going to post that this girl sounds like she's biting MC Paul Barman but it looks like much of the Internet beat me to that idea

most white rappers who misunderstand rap as being purely about puns, rhymes and references can be compared to barman

But isn't it kind of ridiculous to attempt to claim Kitty Pryde and Waka are points on the same line? Isn't it glaringly obvious that they're doing two entirely different things? And shouldn't what she's doing be judged on its own merits rather than in comparison to rap-as-what-your-average-largely-genre-ignorant-person-thinks-when-they-see-the-word-"rap" artists like Waka or whoever else? I mean, when I watch a rap video posted here or on the Awl or Stuff You Will Hate or the Voice's music blog (which I occasionally do), I find them lobotomizingly tedious, but that doesn't make me rate Kitty Pryde higher by comparison, because the very idea of comparing those two things is laughably absurd to me.
