Meek Mill tapes sound like they have a lot of work going into them. Maybe one day I'll listen to one twice

as opposed to...lil b tapes that sound like there's no effort going into them?

i find meek mill effortlessly enjoyable and listenable - i guess it sags towards the end but yknow it's a mixtape. the high points are stunning

yeah, i prefer it to the first dreamchasers... i think you get a bit better sense of who he is as an artist

1st dream chasers is wayyy better. nothing on this touches 'im a boss' or 'middle of the summer' or 'tony story'

yeah this is more consistent... i'd buy the argument that there's not a "middle of the summer" or a "tony story" but there's a lot of average songs on there w/ beats and hooks that could've been on half the mixtapes that come out in any given week

this one starts to fall off after "the ride" but until that it's much stronger up and down -- the production is a lot more distinct, for one

i dunno. i'm looking for something i'll actually want to hear on the radio all year round. too many 'lean wit it's not enough 'i'm a boss's

"lean wit it" has grown on me. still need to hear the tape, though.

well "i'ma boss" was off the MMG comp -- it was just thrown onto 'dreamchasers' bcuz it was already a hit

i mean if he can make the banger of the year two years in a row by some miracle i'll give him longer than mid-may to come up with it, but generally i just want him to not totally fuck up on the road to having a retail album

i think the track with big sean is awesome and could be as big a radio as hit as "tupac back" or "house party"

such is my optimism that i am even willing to take the statement "the track with big sean is awesome" at face value

the track with big sean may actually be the best thing on the mixtape

i didn't hear anything to rival "ima boss" in the banger stakes or even "middle of da summer" in big-sounding emotion - i wouldn't say it's a step up as such but it's a step that keeps things interesting w/r/t the position MM is carving out for himself

i LIKE 'lean wit it' but its just like .. .straight bangers like that that are big & aggressive & alright

the big sean is cool but its the same thing, real aggressive but not really a great single

LOL the first dreamchasers is like the most consistent mixtape of the past 2 or 3 years, easy. the new one is pretty good, but it sorta feels just like 1 but with all the real talk/personal songs stripped out and replaced with big name features that i don't really give a shit about.

so Big Sean is pretty widely hated then? I'm not too familiar with his stuff and he has an annoying voice but i think he's pretty damn good on "Burn"

i had really resigned myself to the idea that he was going to spend the rest of his life in jail and never make another song, even when i heard the news yesterday i kinda felt happy more just about the moral victory of the prosecution not getting away with using his lyrics against him in court. so that's great to hear.
