I was kidding! There's no way in hell it will. Even I didn't vote for it and I like my Depeche Mode poppy and heavy on the Vince Clarke tip. That said, I do sort of love it.

any love for Dangerous? loads better than Sea Of Sin if we're talking Violator B sides.

seven of my picks have already appeared. but my ballot was very unimaginative. i'm glad i didn't include "enjoy the silence" though. something about how the word "very" is pronounced in the chorus always rubbed me the wrong way.

Ok I listened to all the Violator b-sides this morning and all the vocal ones sounded equally poor to my ears. Truly awful lyrics and seemingly just not much time spent on production, idk if given as much spit and polish as Enjoy the Silence was they'd have improved but basically they sounded like cheap 90s euro pop dance.

also, why is there an annoying lag at the end of "enjoy the silence" before the segue into the much superior "policy of truth"?

'Interlude #1 (Mission Impossible)' is the piece of music that appears after 'Pimpf' ends on Music For The Masses.

And there is also an 'Interlude #4', which is the title of the piece of music in between 'Get Right With Me' and 'Rush' on Songs Of Faith And Devotion.

I know various members of Depeche Mode consider this to be one of their worst songs, but I can think of Depeche Mode songs that I dislike more.

"very unnecessary" used to bother me on the grounds of awkward redundancy, but then I decided that in context it may be deliberate awkward redundancy, so I let it go.

'very unnecessary' not nearly as bad as 'pass undetectedly' from sweetest perfection.

yeah, i guess i have a problem with the phrasing in the chorus, so it's to do with the whole "very unnecessary" detail. seems a bit contrary to the flow of the song. it may be to do with Dave Gahan's voice which is quite hardened in tone, but when DM get verbose i always pick up on it in the intonation and notice the extra syllables.

Isn't the bigger problem that is words are very unnecessary, then why does the song have lyrics? btw that song is a perfect treasure

You know I have always been confused about "lay" v "lie" for getting on a bed verbs and that song is one of many that hasn't helped.

I was the #1 vote for "Photographic." Prefer the Some Bizzarre version, natch. Deffo too low, fools.

I cannot tolerate songs like "Somebody" - sappy ballads sung by MLG = zzzz. (This does not include "The Things You Said" which is awesome and was on my ballot.)
