Seriously, I only just found out about this abomination, and I'm so angry that I want everyone involved to be buried up to the neck in sand and then covered in marmalade and ants.

i get being dismissive or lol check out this bullshit about the Rock of Ages movie but i don't really understand actual anger, unless you're especially reverent of the stage musical, or the original '80s rock songs, or think the actors would otherwise being engaged in something more dignified. as it is, i'm like whatever guys, go ahead and make a trainwreck, it's not like you were going to make anything of substance otherwise!

i mean sure Baldwin has better things to do but it's not like he took a break from 30 Rock to make this movie or anything

It's not like I think Brand/Cruise/Baldwin/et al could be doing something better with their time - probably anything they'd be involved in would be an undignified mess. And I don't care about the stage musical or the original 80's songs. It's just that I'm insulted that somebody thought that this would be entertainment. I literally just found out, so maybe the anger will wear off. Or maybe not, because of the trio of bellends involved.

this is one of those instances when i would pay good money to have seen the pitch meeting(s) that produced this thing

the real problem is that we're all picturing some feel feel feel feel my heat hilarity and its gonna be ultra competent studio hacks playing karaoke grade compressed covers and a buncha ok singers protooled to acceptability.
