Just heard this. Rolled my eyes when I saw it because "____ for Orchestra" versions are rarely any good, but this guy got it right. Too bad it's probably a Logic recording and not a real orchestra.

Me too loved Animal Collective and this one but they both get bad reviews.

i mean it coheres less than his other records and feels like a product of frustration but the songs are stronger imo

some gems in that playlist actually. not saying it's all terrible, but it's inherently hit or miss for me, and when it misses it misses hard. i think Junk mines way more of that than anglo critics will care to search for.

It took me a while to put my finger on who Laser Gun reminded me of, figured it was Annie, i'm relieved.

This sounds like ELO + 10000Hz Legend-era Air, which is totally fine by me.

I can't ever listen to this song now because there's no way it will really live up to that description.
