can't remember when i last found a record as hard to make through as exmilitary

I find it very mood-dependent. Before reviewing the new one I listened to Exmilitary again while I was out in town in a foul mood and it felt like someone jamming a sharpened pencil into my ear. Then got stuck into the new one over the next couple of days and got into it straight away. Can't remember the last time my own reactions to a record have been so polarised from one day to the next.

agreed. this isn't grabbing me the way the last one was where it was all DEATH Y'ALL and i could ride a bit more with that, but it's very good.

I think I like this more than Exmilitary, tbh. Though I do miss how "Beware" sets up that record. There's nothing that stalks me in quite the same way here.
