Been a bit out the loop lately with things, but I quite enjoyed a mini-album by Phantogram called "Nightlife" the other night which was pretty good if you like the Chairlift record.

Track produced by pharrell williams and it might just be one of my favorite of his in years. Everything rolls so smoothly, wishing it becomes a hit but its probably too subtle to get noticed in the charts, still its one of those songs that you know youre going to like since the first time you hear them.

yes that is a very good album. i don't think it has some of the highs of their earlier records but it is definitely stronger overall than their previous stuff. if you like it you'll almost certainly like their earlier album

seeing that made me do a kind of triple take (THAT The Thing and THAT Neneh Cherry and THAT Dream Baby Dream???), but then it couldn't possibly work any better.

the thing + neneh is one of those things that seems crazy when you see it but then kinda makes perfect sense given neneh's background

This may be premature, but I am liking Elio Villafranca and Arturo Stable's Dos y Mas (jazz, definitely not salsa or trad. Afro-Cuban dance music, though there are certainly connections to the latter).

Also, Tokyo Jihen's Beaucoup de Bruit pour Rien has grown on me a lot, especially in that live version I just linked to, god willing.

I wouldn't even say 3rd-fiddle! Seems like Kendrick (obv), Q, and Jay Rock are all more popular than him. But I think his album is on par (at least) with Section.80. The song where he's talking to his dead girlfriend makes me so ;_;
