yeah there's a bizarre thing happening in hip hop/R&B now where mixtapes and major label albums have gotten so long that if anyone makes an Illmatic-length album that would actually fit on vinyl they call it an EP

this was basically true for dirty money as well

yeah but LTTP was at least a moderately successful major label record with a hugely famous person at the center of it. the Dawn/Kalenna stuff lives or dies on whether it builds any kind of buzz outside that LTTP cult.
