EMP Pop Conference 2012 -- NYC

Registered a while ago, still haven't gotten the update e-mail with details etc. Trying to plan when I should be busing down and so forth.

Does anyone know what time on Thursday the conference starts? Is it a "you should be there early Thursday morning" thing or does it not get properly started until the afternoon, etc.

(also, trying to rationalize/justify going by getting as much work done in the next 24 hours as possible)

and when can I say hi to you EMP gays?

I'm still waffling on ability to go. Couchsurfing with friends just got confirmed, so now it boils down to whether my summer job applications (due Friday) and other coursework that I promised myself would get done does get done.

Family obligations mean I can't make it up there. Thursday night opening looks like it could be interesting

i have been procrastinating so much on everything as far as planning what i'm actually doing this weekend, beyond that i am definitely taking the bus up Thursday night and doing a panel (w/ Matos!) on Friday afternoon and staying til Sunday. maybe i can wing it? i need to get my shit together.

I will be there. Perhaps not at 5 - bus arrives around 430 and I need/want to head out to Brooklyn where I'm crashing to drop my stuff at a friend's place but I should get there for the keynote.

Damn that was a great first night. Had to miss karaoke though.
