papoose i've cooled on since his early stuff cuz he actually seemed to go backwards as a rapper IMO, like his flow managed to get sloppier if that was possible

I got amped about Papoose when I heard his verse on "Touch It" before I realized he recycled it 1000000x

yeah on that it was cool how he divided it in two section a regular speed then a double speed flow

i don't even know, i tried to search for info on that and all i found was dudes talking about how fab fucked budden's chick.

also srs question ethan -- do you think that saigon and/or papoose are the best or among the best semi-mainstream NYC rappers to have emerged in their era (which let's say is '04 to present, post-50, etc.)? i'm not even sure who i'd say, but i feel like it would have to be someone other than those guys.

Budden is really the saddest motherfucker in rap, finally left Def Jam and still gets his pushed back constantly, makes club singles that sound just like the shit he was doing in '03, mopes around with a "coulda been a contender" frown all the time, has lots of loyal internet stans but can't even get Clipse-level media fawning
