jay-z is the only person who i'd watch a live show of (maybe flocka) because he and his band are so good together but if he's not playing w/o a band...

i saw jay once live at this DJ hero event and, you know, after all the clowning we do about him now and shit it was fucking unreal amazing, he can just run through like a solid hour+ of classic after classic after classic, and he works well with his band to do cool things w/arrangements and bringing the energy up and down

then drugged out relapse era eminem followed looking like a sweaty ghost in a hoodie, so sad

i never post on this thread but this is the only place action bronson has really been discussed. i don't know how i feel about the production on his new tape but i lol'd when he name-checked jon caramanica.

I think Blue Chips is easily the best thing Action Bronson has done yet, it distills pretty much everything I like about him and pushes it a little further away from the easy dismissals (partic, as n/a pointed out, his attempts to push his voice away from the Ghostface thing). Also sarge otm here, this is infinitely quotable. I'm also a huge sucker for his taste in samples.
