The Madonna-is-old jokes make you look bad and are...old. There's enough bad music being pumped out by this woman to poke fun at instead.

Well, I will say there is a distinction to be made between someone who is old and someone who is old and trying to act young. For sure Madonna has been "old" for a while now, both literally and figuratively, but in general she has surmounted society's prejudices. Not this time, though.

Oh God, she's gone back to her American Life phase where every other word in the song is either "I" or "me."

She's also gone back to her American Life phase of sucking.

Album appears to be in *ahem* circulation now. GGW was not just a bad choice to open the album, but a bad choice altogether (this can't be restated often enough).

The album is shockingly pretty damn brilliant. The singles are somehow the worst songs on the album (which for someone with 30 years experience in the industry and for being well Madonna is ridiculous).

The acoustic "Love Spent" on one of the deluxe editions is pretty goddamn great.

"B-Day Song" is like some ridiculous joke and I absolutely adore it

so is this one of those cases where you have to get the deluxe editions to get the better tracks ?

has she ever attempted a song like "B-Day Song"? It's like ABBA attempting a kid's song played on live instruments by Muppets.

"i'm addicted" is pretty awesome

and i'm not sure about "gang bang" but it's... genuinely disturbing

"gang bang" is the best thing here imo

"i don't give a" and "i'm addicted" are the other two that stood out and if i'm being honest the chorus of "give me all your luvin'" is stuck in my head a great deal of the time. it sounds less good when i actually play it, because madonna's voice is a total husk now, it drags down decent songs/fails to elevate catchy-but-basic bubblegum tunes/sinks each of the ballads.

"i'm addicted" is great and sort of what i wanted this whole record to sound like, given the title mdna

"Gang Bang" might grow on me but right now it's just super annoying

well this whole song is just spectacularly falling apart

I just cannot take "DRIVE BITCH/NOW DIE BITCH" very seriously

"I'm Addicted" is actually a good song

well "I'm Addicted" was a good song until she ran out of ideas at the end and started aimlessly chanting "M! D! N! A"

holy fuck I am 30 seconds into "Turn Up The Radio" and I want to murder everyone I have ever known so that they don't accidentally hear it

like, there are a bunch of components here on paper that I should really, really like, but it's put together in the most fucking annoying manner possible and I'm just sitting here thinking "SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP FOR THE LOVE OF GOD"

although "Gimme All Your Luvin" is even more annoying, lol

"Some Girls" sounds like an anonymous diva house remix, which automatically makes it the second best song I've heard on this album so far

okay "Superstar" is just PATHETIC
