re Pachanga Boys, I like the tune "Legs" Ivan Smagghe played on Beats in Space a coupla weeks back. Says also on Hippie Dance but can't tell what release. Or maybe not out yet?

I guess this is the lolconcept behind the weird contrast between the first two tracks and "time": It´s "Girlcatcher", which consists of three charming tracks specially made to seduce your catch (girl or boy), and a special handmade tool to trap her (or him).

Noticed the voices from lake got a 5/5 on ResidentAdvisor which is a score I haven't seen in a while. Really nice album. Sort of reminds me of GAS. Is this another of Voigt's many projects?

i'm curious, would people call the Voices From The Lake album dub techno?

I wouldn't, personally, but I like the way that it mines some of the same territory.

think that album might be too subtle for me. Like it's cool when some chords come in or whatever but it's also just kind of a relief from the tedium

I haven't heard the full album, but the couple of tracks I've heard I've liked a lot. More than dub techno, they remind me of the "ambient acid" stuff that was coming out of Cologne in the mid-90s, like Khan & Walker's Empire State Building, or Air Liquide's early space epics. (And I think Mike Ink came from that scene too, so the Gas comparison is not out of place.)

Yes, 'Der Alte' by Kolsch as posted upthread is fantastic. Loving the Pachanga Boys as well.
