― johnny crunch, Friday, 24 February 2012 12:15 (fourteen years ago)
I cannot really imagine wanting to go and see him live, I imagine he'd be kinda terrible?
― Homosexual Satan Wasp (Matt DC), Friday, 24 February 2012 12:42 (fourteen years ago)
that does seem 2 be what ppl say...idk i might still go just out of curiousity
― johnny crunch, Friday, 24 February 2012 12:44 (fourteen years ago)
are you gonna go see him?
― flagp∞st (dayo), Friday, 24 February 2012 12:46 (fourteen years ago)
well either i will or wont, those are the options as i see them
― johnny crunch, Friday, 24 February 2012 12:47 (fourteen years ago)
excellent
― flagp∞st (dayo), Friday, 24 February 2012 12:47 (fourteen years ago)
he was okay when i saw him live - not mind-blowing or anything but not embarrassing. i guess as a support act (to keri hilson lol) there's not much room to fuck up, you just get up there and sing your songs and get off again
― lex pretend, Friday, 24 February 2012 12:53 (fourteen years ago)
i mean, the fact that he was singing great songs helped, obv
Roc is just alright on first listen - need to buy it when it comes out to get a better handle in it
― Raymond Cummings, Friday, 24 February 2012 13:40 (fourteen years ago)
Kinda wanna stay away from SXSW but I might try to see this
― Raymond Cummings, Friday, 24 February 2012 13:42 (fourteen years ago)
Yeah, he's by no means terrible live. I think I saw him between Bobby Valentino, Keri Hilson and Keyshia Cole, and if nothing else he was better than Bobby Valentino.
My most vivid memory from the show is the crowd sitting down during "Love vs. Money."
― Evan R, Friday, 24 February 2012 14:00 (fourteen years ago)
"Kill The Lights" is really bad; the production is just anemic :( This is the great single he's naming his tour after?
― Evan R, Friday, 24 February 2012 15:10 (fourteen years ago)
Lloyd was actually really good when i saw him live
― D-40, Sunday, 26 February 2012 03:47 (fourteen years ago)
I think I saw him between Bobby Valentino, Keri Hilson and Keyshia Cole, and if nothing else he was better than Bobby Valentino.
think we must have seen the same tour! iirc bobby v was much more of the showman. i missed keyshia because that's when i was doing the interview.
terius apparently working with tulisa now, huh.
― lex pretend, Sunday, 26 February 2012 16:02 (fourteen years ago)
Keyshia's show was surprisingly high-production. Her stage looked like a West Side Story set.
Lloyd has killed it live every time I've seen him.
― Evan R, Sunday, 26 February 2012 17:41 (fourteen years ago)
im glad i went 2 thisgot there a lil late cuz of a dumb #letmehelpyouwithyourgirlproblem & he was just finishing falsetto; not sure how many songs i misseddream is such a ham i was lol'ing so muchhe played fancy and said hes never performed it b4after the awz build to the drums @ the end it turned into like death metal drum fills & dream just strutting it was so absurd
― johnny crunch, Sunday, 11 March 2012 06:23 (fourteen years ago)

i mean, as much as it's possible to perform his songs w/ a live band, it's not that bad
― johnny crunch, Sunday, 11 March 2012 06:29 (fourteen years ago)

I cannot believe the way these guys write. It’s incomprehensible and downright retarded. Twitter or not, a basic understanding of commas and apostrophes will suffice.
It’s disgusting really.

oh lord

someone needs to tell the weeknd to kiss the ring imo

I just wish people wouldn’t say things like that, because these days, everybody is influenced by everybody (and let’s keep it real, his first album had so many attempts at the brotha trying to sound like Prince).

Nash didn't name names but Tesfaye got tweet-combative anyway?
― Andy K, Tuesday, 13 March 2012 16:25 (fourteen years ago)
Nash just said he was thinking of 4 people. So yep, getting defensive I guess.
― curmudgeon, Tuesday, 13 March 2012 16:26 (fourteen years ago)
6-12 months before they collaborate on a track?
― Andy K, Tuesday, 13 March 2012 17:24 (fourteen years ago)
So who are the other 3 he had in mind?
― curmudgeon, Tuesday, 13 March 2012 18:11 (fourteen years ago)
Frank Ocean was probably one. Miguel, maybe and Trey Songz, plus Weeknd.
― MikoMcha, Tuesday, 13 March 2012 18:31 (fourteen years ago)
that's just naming the only four male breakout r&b singers of the past few years
― 3hunn O))) (J0rdan S.), Tuesday, 13 March 2012 18:32 (fourteen years ago)
i mean maybe he did actually mean it that way but...
four probably wasn't an exact number
― 3hunn O))) (J0rdan S.), Tuesday, 13 March 2012 18:33 (fourteen years ago)
Yeah, depends. Hard to say if it's something he's been ruminating on mathematical-like! Or just in the frustrated general sense...
― MikoMcha, Tuesday, 13 March 2012 18:37 (fourteen years ago)
“I haven’t done a show in close to two years, and ever since then, there’s like four n****s who sound like me now. I’m just being honest. I remember before 2007, nobody knew what to do with this s**t.”
― curmudgeon, Tuesday, 13 March 2012 18:52 (fourteen years ago)
"like four"
