Saw them in '04, so so great. Would love to be able to see the 3d show. A friend told me he read tweets suggesting they'd do a similar run at Tate Modern/London. Does anyone know more?

They were pretty awesome when I saw them a few years back, too. Great light show, great sound. Want to say I saw Massive Attack the same year at the same venue, and the shows were oddly analogous in terms of quality and surprise entertainment value.

Lots of people are requesting it. The source of the rumours seems to be this tweet by these guys, who I've never heard of.

It's some serious getting-hopes-up stuff though.

think I'm gonna take a shot at Man-Machine and maybe Computer World (on the theory that Trans-Europe Express will be the most popular ticket)

Really re: TEE being most popular? It seems like it'd be CW and Man Machine by a long shot, followed by TEE and Autobahn, and then Radioactivity, Techno Pop, The Mix, and TDF being way behind

TEE is the first one I bought bc of its heavy status w critics. but I'm not sure if that proves much of anything.

I'd see 3-way tie between CW, M-M and TEE, then the rest. I would kill to attend ANY of these shows btw

Guy from KW mailing list. There were noises about the Tate back at the time of the Munich Lenbachhaus Kunstbau show/concert at Alten Kongresshalle.

I have no idea, just thinking that's their most widely known track because of "Planet Rock" (see post above about black, white, young, old, hip-hop, techno)

i really want to get man-machine but think it will be the most popular/quickest to sell out. it's on my birthday!!! i think techno pop will be my second choice.

also i dearly wish they were doing ralf und florian, because it's my favorite.

Would love to see them at Tate Modern or similar in London. I saw them at Tribal Gathering '97. I was in the 'Detroit' tent most of the day but they shut that down for an hour or so because none of the acts (Terrence Parker, Carl Craig, Kevin Saunderson etc.) would play during Kraftwerk. They were late coming on and then.. BOOM!

xpost I dunno, I can 'get behind' people thinking "we wait all that time, and it's pretty much what we'd expect", but apart from that I can't detect a massive drop in quality.

The kids were doing the 'B-boom-TCK!' after I'd had a KWork splurge in the car, a few years ago.

Again - as I said upthread - I cannot imagine this would be the only performance of these shows - it does not seem to make any kind of business sense to rehearse and do the programming for all these songs for just a one-off in a smallish venue.

Yes, that was Billie Ray Martin, who is from Hamburg. She said that Ralf's strong accent makes the song slightly comical to many Germans.
