not so big that they HAVE to give him awards or let him perform though; i mean he's basically on equal footing with trey songz these days and you didn't see TR on the grammys last night

i find those buzzfeed posts to be really shitty

J0rdan S., Monday, 13 February 2012 14:15 (fourteen years ago)

Yeah, buzzfeed's a pretty awful source.

Sick Mouthy (Scik Mouthy), Monday, 13 February 2012 14:20 (fourteen years ago)

those tweets are so horrifying i don't want to believe they're real

some dude, Monday, 13 February 2012 14:21 (fourteen years ago)

Between this and the Unilad thing I suddenly feel v.old and out of touch with young people.

Sick Mouthy (Scik Mouthy), Monday, 13 February 2012 14:23 (fourteen years ago)

idk, we've all seen the shitty things that chris brown's tween stans have posted over the past couple of years; the worst thing about those tweets is that they're all too believable.

i blame the parents. where the FUCK are those girls' mothers and fathers?

first period don't give a fuck, second period gon get cut (lex pretend), Monday, 13 February 2012 14:27 (fourteen years ago)

at the shelter; at the bar

some dude, Monday, 13 February 2012 14:28 (fourteen years ago)

it's like those girls don't even know what getting punched in the face actually means. I don't know what part of it they don't understand but somehow they don't seem to get it.

If I am unaware of his humanitarian actions, or large donations toward shelters for women who have to go into hiding because it’s kind of getting hard to walk around with a broken jaw – then someone please, point that out. If he is providing counseling to young men & saying “Hey look what I did that one time, and how out of control things got, and how I am not ever going to be okay with it so this is why you cannot ever let that happen in your life” – then maybe there is something to letting him just movin’ on with his happy little life and career.

afaik this is the closest he's come to community service

een, Monday, 13 February 2012 15:09 (fourteen years ago)

he actually did do community service, but it was like, clearing weeds in horse stables, not anything appropriate or relevant to his crime

some dude, Monday, 13 February 2012 15:10 (fourteen years ago)

xp: incredibly guilty lol

ftr my little sister WAS one of those people. she even said 'maybe she said something to him' and that wasn't a product of bad parenting so much as just lazy thinking and childish unwillingness to believe this horrible thing about him was true.

anyway my mother & i spoke to her about that thinking and she got it. i would pin it on that factor plus larger societal forces that don't see domestic violence as a serious problem, if they even acknowledge it as one (as with the city officials in Topeka... etc)

a heartening post in a chris brown thread :)

(yeah i agree that girls who think those things don't nec have bad parents; it's so depressing to think about how that shit gets ingrained in girls who aren't lucky enough to have a mother or sister (or father, brother etc) to sit them down and tell them what's up though)

eh, ppl thinking different things about things shocker. not inclined to blame their parents, either. lots of kids make a big point of rejecting their parents' values.

i think bush's second election somehow cured me of surprise as a response to human behavior, tbh...

this is the onion right?

She says now that she regrets making the joke on Twitter, as she had only signed up for her account a few days prior and it didn't occur to her how public it was.

"I in no way condone what he did. I am not a fan of Chris Brown's music nor do I follow his career in any way but I do happen to appreciate his face," she says.

Not cool that we act like that didn't happen. He needs to listen to Gunpowder and lead and be put back in his place. Not at the Grammys.

How dang long did they give Nicki Minaj to do whatever that was? Strange. And Chris Brown twice? I don't get it. He beat on a girl...

Word on the blogosphere is that the feature on Rihanna's upcoming remix to "Birthday Cake" is none other then ex-boyfriend, Chris Brown.

According to MissInfo.tv, the collaboration is indeed happening! Sources tell Info that Chris Brown laced the track and will be seen in the music video. Breezy reportedly sings and rhymes on the track, but we'll have to wait till next week, release date, to hear if both parts will be included.

Over the weekend, Chris Brown and Rihanna were seen leaving a West Hollywood studio, separately. Co-producers of "Birthday Cake," Da Internz -- comprised of Kosine and Tuo -- hinted on the collaboration when they told MTV News that the cameo on the track would "shock the world."

"It's gonna be crazy," Tuo said. "And the feature on there is gonna shock the world," Kosine added.

The icing on the cake is that Brown did indeed attend Rihanna's 24th birthday celebration on Monday night (Feb. 13). Sources say the singers came together and were close the entire night.
