there's a lil spark on that first verse. i haven't been crazy about the other trap back songs tho

the feeling around this new stuff is probably less 'comeback' than the dead cat bounce of 'at least V-Nasty isn't on these songs'

"Comeback" or no, Trap Back is dope. "Brick Fair" is great. But I thought Gucci put out some very good stuff last year; "Up My Alley" is one of my favourite Gucci songs ever.

it's a lot... three times as much as any other mixtape on datpiff for february, already one of the 30 most downloaded mixtapes in the history of the site

the numbers are a bit skewed since it was an "exclusive" to datpiff but for comparison the t.i. mixtape was posted on new year's day and has 245k downloads

the ross mixtape was posted on 1/6 and has 680k downloads

anyway i guess i have no idea if any of that means anything, just thought that a gucci mane mixtape in 2012 having 300k downloads in a month was a big number

yeah it seemed like a big # but i didn't know what the basis of comparison was -- already almost twice as many downloads as Writings On The Wall 2 so definitely seems like building momentum

i don't think so... just seems like a lot of hype around the tape in general

the leaks were strong and his people actually did a good job of building it up as a big comeback record

no gucci comeback will ever be complete without a series of youtubes detailing his facial tattoo removal surgeries

I also think Trap Back has benefited from being quite a good record, with dudes like Mike Will giving Gucci their best beats. It's probably my most listened to rap record this year, by far.
