This is it. The regional thug thing is a joke (explained kind of by the flopson post). That video/song is horrible though, like a crap version of Ugly Duckling if that's possible.

im saying the first part is pretty hard to believe but it crosses my mind sometimes, but more often i think they just dont realize the importance of sound fidelity, why would that deserve your derision, other than your obsession w/ being derisive about everything

the box set tactic just seemed more outlandish than merely hard to believe

although obviously there are shades of that mindset in the 'no dj' versions of mixtapes coming out well after the dj holiday screaming on everything versions
