There's been a major upsurge in zombie-themed everything over the past ten to fifteen years. To me it's pretty obvious. I don't have any stats to back it up with or anything though. Obviously zombies aren't completely new, and it would be more accurate to talk about it in cyclical terms, I guess.

I don't think I heard this one in my information gathering for the poll but I like it so far.

This is a good track but it doesn't really hit LOVE buttons for me, I don't know why (actually, I think I do know why; I am super super super SUPER burned out on this particular Brandy song and could happily never hear it again in any form, so no matter how stompy the track underneath it I still have this vague sense of being annoyed when listening to this)

"Cruel" does seem to have more champions, but I personally prefer "Surgeon." (Didn't vote for either, though.)

i think it's pretty natural - fine lines between working out in a gym and going to dance class to work out to music and being in a club with an MC exhorting you to WORK WORK WORK WORK. it's about pushing yourself physically, working up a sweat. salt'n'pepa doing push ups to "push it"!
