I agree that "Midnight City" seems like a random choice for "song of the year." I won't complain when it places, but in my personal list it was somewhere closer to #50.

Somehow, Party Rock Anthem got lost in the transition between sandbox and ilm proper. Several people said they were going to vote for it, but no one until the last day said "Hey, it's not in the list!" By then, it was too late (even though I did go and add it in with about 3 or 4 hours remaining). Sucks. I would've voted for it had I seen it, but since it wasn't there I didn't think about it.

tbh i think "party rock anthem" had a pretty good chance of appearing if not for the fact they got LMFAOppressed

seemed like about as many people around here liked it as "give me everything", which did pretty well

Since I just kinda gave away that Party Rock Anthem didn't make it, I'll divulge that it did wind up with 3 votes and came in at #131.

Probably would've been at least 100 spots higher if it hadn't gotten lost.

this john talbot remix is fantastic

i hadn't heard it but it's better than a lot of the dance tracks that come after it

i totally assumed some dude was really into 'party rock anthem'. its not something i wouldve ever voted for but its no worse than plenty of other dumm ilm stuff itl and i can kinda see how not being listed hurt it cuz i feel like its the sorta song lots of ppl might vote for w/o being super passionate or vocal abt, more out of sense of 'capturing 2011' or for representative reasons or w/e.

even when i realized i didn't vote for it (cause i voted just by winnowing down the noms list) i thought it was due to personal oversight and not an error with the noms list. and fuck yourself twice if you think i don't "really" love that song.
