erick rincón so needs to produce for pitbull!!!! sleazy rapping over global club music is HIS THING. (he says he's gonna jump on baile funk next.)
― tinie tempurah (lex pretend), Wednesday, 25 January 2012 15:31 (fourteen years ago)
*shudder* the memories of being bludgeoned by this song all year... oh god. i have to admit, though, grabbing somebody sexy and telling them "hey!" is a hilarious thing to do and i got many laughs from that line
― karl...arlk...rlka...lkar..., Wednesday, 25 January 2012 15:31 (fourteen years ago)
also "Give Me Everything" is only 4 minutes long unlike that fucking ridiculous Wilco track that, true to my prediction, I now can't recall
― I spend a lot of time thinking about apricots (DJP), Wednesday, 25 January 2012 15:31 (fourteen years ago)
x-posts No. :(
I actually didn't mind that song with Marc Anthony and Cypress Hill though.
― John Gaw Meme (_Rudipherous_), Wednesday, 25 January 2012 15:32 (fourteen years ago)
"give me everything" is so awesome
the best part is pitbull's singing
i might drink a lil more than i should tonighti might take you home with me if i could, tonight
― J0rdan S., Wednesday, 25 January 2012 15:34 (fourteen years ago)
i wonder what the most popular is, maybe super bass?
Rolling In The Deep probably, or maybe Born This Way.
This Pitbull song is probably the song so far that most encapsulates 2011 pop. It's okay.
― Matt DC, Wednesday, 25 January 2012 15:34 (fourteen years ago)
also the opening is so hilarious -- some inspirational spoken word involving rhyming "kodak" with "kodak"
Between Wilco Gotye and Pitbull I might take a break. Listening to bad music is really tiring
I've been following a policy of scrolling up so as not to see the videos because I'm at work, but I saw a bit of that gotye video. I won't be seeing any more videos
― Cashmere Combabe, Wednesday, 25 January 2012 15:35 (fourteen years ago)
"give me everything" is one of those songs that no one would really be like YO THIS SONG IS DOPE offhand irl but if you were at a party and someone dropped it everyone would go crazy
― J0rdan S., Wednesday, 25 January 2012 15:35 (fourteen years ago)
I wasn't all that into the Wilco album, but I loved "One Sunday Morning," which is in fact a lovely Sunday morning song in the vein of some of Jim O'Rourke's pastoralia.
― jaymc, Wednesday, 25 January 2012 15:35 (fourteen years ago)
oh i forgot rolling in the deep, yeah that's probably it. born this way is probably less popular than give me everything... it was massive for a few weeks but afterward not so much
― teledyldonix, Wednesday, 25 January 2012 15:36 (fourteen years ago)
is "born this way" really gonna be on this list

― tinie tempurah (lex pretend), Wednesday, 25 January 2012 15:36 (fourteen years ago)
pitbull just sounds like a worse version of black eyed peas gotye sounds like a worse version of being sick in a bath wilco sounds the same as i thought it would
― Cashmere Combabe, Wednesday, 25 January 2012 15:38 (fourteen years ago)
Yeah that Wilco song is actually pretty good, one of the few highlights ont he new album. Loathe Pitbull, but thats more for oversaturation than anything to do with the song itself. It would be fine if I'd only managed to catch it a couple times, not a couple times an hour.
― jon /via/ chi 2.0, Wednesday, 25 January 2012 15:38 (fourteen years ago)
The next one is going to have to be awesome I'm not sure I cant take any more

― I spend a lot of time thinking about apricots (DJP), Wednesday, 25 January 2012 15:42 (fourteen years ago)
This list cray.
― jon /via/ chi 2.0, Wednesday, 25 January 2012 15:42 (fourteen years ago)
Actually, haven't heard a note from KanJay so I don't know yet if I need saving.
― EZ Snappin, Wednesday, 25 January 2012 15:42 (fourteen years ago)
i like the beat on this one a lot
― teledyldonix, Wednesday, 25 January 2012 15:42 (fourteen years ago)
oh c'mon even i like this and i think WTT is otherwise a total dud, beat is amazing. you really need the remix with t.i. though http://youtu.be/2vIGazA67rU
i do wish kanye could be removed from it, he needs to stop braying like an actual donkey. HUHHHHHHHHH
― tinie tempurah (lex pretend), Wednesday, 25 January 2012 15:43 (fourteen years ago)
Watch The Throne is really good imo, and this song more than others. You should dig into it EZ.
― Johnny Fever, Wednesday, 25 January 2012 15:43 (fourteen years ago)
tip's verse <3 tip's horrible french accent <3
really don't get this song.
― the emancipation of me-me (tpp), Wednesday, 25 January 2012 15:43 (fourteen years ago)
an acceptable place for that song, much more so than it's p&j and pfork placings
i get why it's huge but kanye is just utterly unforgivable
jay's verse is pretty hype tho
― J0rdan S., Wednesday, 25 January 2012 15:43 (fourteen years ago)
listening now. Good so far.
― EZ Snappin, Wednesday, 25 January 2012 15:43 (fourteen years ago)
I realized yesterday that I fucking LOVE Watch The Throne. I thought I just liked it but I dunno, I really started paying closer attention to it yesterday and it's fucking massive mixed in with some of the most positive/aspirational lyrics I've heard in a while.

The Wilcos of hiphop...
― I want your nose, your shoes and your unicycle (dog latin), Wednesday, 25 January 2012 15:44 (fourteen years ago)
i don't know how kanye didn't get kicked out of the studio 15 seconds into recording his verse tbh
― J0rdan S., Wednesday, 25 January 2012 15:44 (fourteen years ago)
putting it down as one of those rap tracks u gotta hear on the radio all the time to get into
― the emancipation of me-me (tpp), Wednesday, 25 January 2012 15:44 (fourteen years ago)
N***as is alright; I actually prefer Pitbull
― uncle acid and the absquatulators (Drugs A. Money), Wednesday, 25 January 2012 15:45 (fourteen years ago)
nb pitbull's "latinos in paris" is a thing that exists: http://youtu.be/O_xnW1p-9fU
― tinie tempurah (lex pretend), Wednesday, 25 January 2012 15:45 (fourteen years ago)
The beat is making this for me. Nice.
― EZ Snappin, Wednesday, 25 January 2012 15:45 (fourteen years ago)
bangs. loses points for kanye's 'contribution'. jay goes hard.
― pandemic, Wednesday, 25 January 2012 15:45 (fourteen years ago)
yeah Jay is IMO consistently amazing on this album
― I spend a lot of time thinking about apricots (DJP), Wednesday, 25 January 2012 15:45 (fourteen years ago)
jay and kanye track surprisingly alright!
― Cashmere Combabe, Wednesday, 25 January 2012 15:46 (fourteen years ago)
okay wait the left turn the song takes in the last min with the piano was a nice surprise tbh
lesson: listen to entire songs before posting
― uncle acid and the absquatulators (Drugs A. Money), Wednesday, 25 January 2012 15:46 (fourteen years ago)
This one should be #35 - #25 to pay homage to the fact that you can't play it just once
― mh, Wednesday, 25 January 2012 15:46 (fourteen years ago)
This and Lift Off are the only songs I really loved from Watch The Throne. I didn't think it was a bad album just a bit forgettable, probably need to give it another play.
― Kitchen Person, Wednesday, 25 January 2012 15:47 (fourteen years ago)
Best thing I've heard from either of them in a long time. Guess I should give the album a go.

i realized this like two months in but the album would've been legit great if it was a jay solo album -- it would've been way, way better than what they ended up putting out and way, way better than anything jay's put out since the black album
