how much worse would the gotye song be w/o kimbra's part? like, the character that the first verse paints is not one that i want to sympathize with so it's nice when her part starts and i can go "phew they're not expecting me to sympathize w/ him, thank goodness"

oh yeah the fact that it's a duet is one of the major reasons it's good

this is not Pitbull's best effort but it's so much better than the unbearable 12 minute nothing that I just suffered through that I am super stoked to see it appear

I just can't dislike Pitbull. He ends up winning me over on almost everything he does, even the transparently terrible songs like the one with Marc Anthony. I didn't vote for Give Me Everything but it's a great song.

"Suavamente" was probably the most horrible song I saw anyone enthuse about on ILM this past year.

i didn't actually like "give me everything" initially, i thought it was a bit gross, but it just beats you around the head til you give in and suddenly you're drunk and in a public place and it comes on and it's the BEST THING YOU COULD EVER HOPE TO HEAR GRAB SOMEBODY SEXY TELL EM HEY!

I wasn't all that into the Wilco album, but I loved "One Sunday Morning," which is in fact a lovely Sunday morning song in the vein of some of Jim O'Rourke's pastoralia.

Yeah that Wilco song is actually pretty good, one of the few highlights ont he new album. Loathe Pitbull, but thats more for oversaturation than anything to do with the song itself. It would be fine if I'd only managed to catch it a couple times, not a couple times an hour.

The next one is going to have to be awesome I'm not sure I cant take any more
